BRUNSWICK - Alice Winifred (Littlefield) Bulson, 97, a lifelong resident of Brunswick, died peacefully, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her residence following a short illness.
Born in Brunswick, April 2, 1916, Mrs. Bulson was the daughter of the late Hiram Nelson Littlefield and Alice Viola (Wilson) Littlefield and the wife of 42 years of the late Paul E. Bulson. Mr. and Mrs. Bulson were married on January 21, 1939.
Mrs. Bulson attended the Clum's Corners District Brick School House and was a homemaker for more than 70 years.
As a young woman, her favorite hobbies and pastimes included gardening and baking "Cowboy Cookies" and more recently spent her time in creating beautiful quilts and sewing.
Mrs. Bulson is survived by a son, Ralph E. Bulson of Wynantskill and a daughter, Alice Bulson of Brunswick; a sister, Beulah J. Hewitt of Brunswick; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Ginny Hyra, of Brunswick.
In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, the late Millard Littlefield and Ralph Littlefield and a daughter-in-law, Eileen Bulson, predeceased her.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy. At Mrs. Bulson's request, there will be no calling.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or the Animal Wildlife Protective Foundation.
Funeral service details are under the direction of the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown.
