Edward A. Dugan HALFMOON – Edward Arthur Dugan, 84, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Watervliet on September 7, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Archambeault Dugan. Ed was raised and educated in Watervliet and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at the City of Watervliet Filtration Plant and later by the Troy Savings Bank in Troy as a maintenance worker from which he retired. He has been a resident of the Millview Adult Home in Latham since November. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and nature and loved his cats and feeding the birds. He was very charitable for children's causes especially the Ronald McDonald House. He was a member of the Watervliet VFW Post #729. He is the brother of Joan DeGiorgio of Troy and the late Charles, James, Walter and Dorothy Dugan and Mary Seney Follett, uncle of Dorothy (Dan) Wells-Forgett of Halfmoon, Veronica Seney and Mary Ann (William) Burniche both of Watervliet and Tammy Follett of Latham. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandnieces and great grandnephews. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11:30 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
