COHOES - Edward J. Len, 77, of Garner Street in Cohoes, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at his residence embraced by his loving family.

Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Tolak Len.
Ed graduated from Cohoes High School and was a lifelong resident of Cohoes. He was a veteran the U.S. Navy and Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Ed was employed for 42 years with General Electric as an inspector and retired in 1995.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the excitement of the Saratoga Race Track.
Ed was a member of the PAA in Cohoes.
He is survived by his devoted son, Stephen (Tina) Len of Cohoes; cherished granddaughters, Alicia, Melanie, Amberly and Emily; brothers, Dr. John (Kathleen) Len of Cohoes and Stanley (Jean) Len of Latham; sister-in-law, Barbara Len of Cohoes; former wife and lifelong friend, Elaine Doyle of Cohoes; aunt, Jane Tolak; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael Len, and his brother, Joseph Len.
A funeral service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd. at 105 Vliet Blvd. in Cohoes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish..
Interment with military honors will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterford.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012.
