NASSAU - Eleanor M. Seibert, 82, of Nassau, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Van Rensselaer Manor.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Clifford S. Pfeiffer and May (Wrigley) Pfeiffer. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Donald W. Seibert, two sisters, Bonnie Bauer and Brenda Young, brother Clifford "Stan" Pfeiffer and grandson William C. Seibert Jr.
Eleanor is survived by her four daughters, Linda M. (Harold Cropsey) Seibert Cropsey, Cathy S. Seibert former spouse Alan Bauer, Barbara A. Cherubino, Diane R. (Deran) Akullian and five sons, Donald W. (Dawn) Seibert Jr., William C. (Barbara) Seibert, David A. Seibert, Michael J. (Lisa) Seibert, John C. Seibert; three sisters, Judy Stoehr, Sharon Vanderwerken, Mary Kainer; 12 grandchildren, Kristy Bauer, Kimberly Van Vliet, Stephanie Selmer, Kevin Bauer, Mickey Bauer, Paul Cherubino, Donald Seibert, Brian Seibert, Brianna Cao, Jennifer King, Adam Akullian, Michala Seibert; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was an adaptive equipment technician for Center for Disability Services in Albany. She also worked as a hall monitor for Columbia High School.
She began her married life focused on being a homemaker, where she was elected Elks Mother of the Year. She was an avid Yankees fan. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, golfing, bowling, the racetrack with John, swimming at the Y, and traveling, but most of all she loved being with her family and especially her beloved son John.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services this Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, and 11 a.m. from the East Greenbush United Methodist Church Gilligan Road, East Greenbush. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
