AVERILL PARK Ernest A. Cormier, 76, of Mountain View Dr. and formerly East Taunton, MA resident died suddenly Friday,

Born in New Bedford, MA on April 14, 1936 he was the son of the late Philip Cormier and Exeline Daigle Cormier and husband of the late Gilda Telles Cormier who died in 2005.
He was raised and educated in New Bedford, MA. He was a United States Army Veteran. Ernest was a railroad conductor with Amtrak, retiring in 1999. He previously worked with Penn Central and Conrail. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, East Taunton and St. Henry's Church, Averill Park. Ernest enjoyed gardening, trading stocks in the stock market, riding in his club car, donuts, Poutine Rapee, his gingerhouse, and wood working. His nickname was "I know, I know". He especially enjoyed spending time in his dream home in Sarasota, Florida.
Survivors include a daughter Sharon Sheehan of East Taunton, and her fiancé Frederick (Dan) Wilbur, Jr. of North Dighton, MA
two grandsons Lucas and Clayton Sheehan of East Taunton,
a sister Cecile (William) Snell of Fairhaven, MA and best friend Herbert Voss of South Easton, MA, his loving companion Janine Budesheim of Averill Park and her loving family and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and Burial will take place in East Taunton, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 7, 2012
from 2 to 4 p.m. at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
