Germaine Rondeau Wynantskill - Germaine Rondeau, 81, died June 10, 2012 at the Eddy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tibitts Ave in Troy after a long illness. She was born in Cohoes, NY and resided in Wynantskill, NY since 1962. Germaine was employed first by Peerless Co as a bookkeeper for 10 years and retired from Albany Savings Bank as a senior supervisor after 28 years of service. She was a past President of the Albany Chapter of American Savings & Loan Institute, and the past Treasurer of the League of Women Voters and the Wynantskill PTA. She was a former member of the Albany Institute of Banking and the Savings Bank Women of NY State as well as a friend of the North Greenbush Library. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Rondeau of Troy, a brother Edward Belanger of Tucson, Arizona and many generations of cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years (Joseph Rondeau), her parents (Rose and Thomas Belanger) and 7 brother and sisters (Roland Belanger, Roger Belanger, Thomas Belanger, Florence O'Donnell, Teresa Burns, Blanche Gross and Kathleen Falco). The funeral service for Germaine will be held on Friday morning at 11am at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the Church Friday morning from 10-11am. Interment St. Joseph's cemetery Waterford. Germaine's daughter, Lynn, would like to extend her deepest appreciation to the Eddy Heritage House for the wonderful and loving care that was extended to her mother. Contributions in Germaine's memory may be made to either St. Jude the Apostle Memorial Fund, 43 Brookside Ave. Wynantskill, NY or to the Eddy Heritage House employee recognition fund, 2920 Upper Tibitts Ave. Troy and would be appreciated by the family.
