Jeanne E. Tomlinson WYNANTSKILL - Dorothy “Jeanne” Eckert Tomlinson, 82, formerly of Westover Rd., Troy and Port St. Lucie, FL, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Albion J. Eckert, Jr. and the late Dorothy McNamara (John J., M.D.) Marra and was the beloved wife of 46 years to Robert Wesley Tomlinson, who passed away on June 28, 2008. She was a graduate of Albany Academy for Girls and Briarcliff College. Mrs. Tomlinson assisted her husband in their operation of School Book Fairs. She had previously been employed by McCann Erickson Advertising Agency in New York City. Jeanne enjoyed volunteering at Vanderhyden Hall and was a member of the Rensselaer County Historical Society, The Junior League of Troy and St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy. She was an avid reader, but most of all loved and cherished the times spent with her family. Devoted mother of Robert Wesley “Rob” (Linda Denovellis) Tomlinson, II of Clifton Park, Suzanne (Bryan Ben) Buchanan of Las Cruces, NM, Tracy (Paul) Ferritto of Wynantskill and David (Lina) Tomlinson of North Greenbush, loving sister of Elizabeth “Lisa” Gell of Boston, MA, Wendy Leisman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the late Robert A. “Gus” Eckert and the late Albion J. “Tony” Eckert, III, cherished grandmother of Robert W. “Wesley” Tomlinson, III and Christopher Tomlinson, Daniel and Amanda Wolford, Anthony and Angelina Ferritto and Alex and Celina Tomlinson, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeanne's Memorial Mass on Monday morning, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jude's the Apostle Church, 1 Brookside Ave, Wynantskill, NY 12198. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to St. Jude the Apostle Church Memorial Fund, 43 Brookside Ave, Wynantskill, NY 12198, in memory of Jeanne E. Tomlinson.
