John H. Parry, Jr. TROY - John H. Parry, Jr., in the embrace of his loving family, passed into the hands of God on March 10, 2013 in Jupiter, Florida. Formerly of Troy, born March 16, 1937 in Binghamton, NY. He graduated Binghamton North High 1955. Attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and Captain of the Football Team, graduating class of 1960. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, served at US Army Transportation Research Command in Virginia. He received a Master's Degree in Personnel Management from George Washington University in 1961. Returning to Troy he became the owner of Brown Printers of Troy. A former member of the Troy Club, The Rotary Club and the Country Club of Troy. He was active in fund raising for RPI a member of the Patroon Society and a long time donor to the Athletic Department. He served as Vice-President of the Troy Youth Hockey Association and was a fund raiser for that program. Jack was a life time fan of hockey, football and tennis. He retired to Florida in the 90's while still maintaining a summer home at Thousand Island Park, in the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Patricia McClare, a Son John H. Parry, III, Daughter in law Dawn Aiello Parry, and Grandchildren Jessica, Samantha, Trevor and Cooper Parry all of Clifton Park. He was cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, at 11:00 AM at the Thousand Island Park Tabernacle.
