John L. White Sr. Cohoes - John L. White 69 died Saturday July 21, 2012 at St. Peters Hospital. Born in Cohoes he had lived there most of his life and was son of the late Francis and Edna Morris White. He graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy and had served as class president of both junior and senior classes he later graduated with high honors from SUNY Albany .John had worked at Cohoes Mens and Boys Shop in Cohoes and later worked for over 30 years at IBM in their sales division.He had also owned and operated Kirkers Steak House from 1985-1990.John was extremely patriotic and an avid Yankee and NY Giants fan. He also enjoyed Notre Dame football,he was Captain of his own ship the Big Blue.He had been a member of the Cohoes KofC and the BKW Club. Survived by his beloved high school sweet heart “Sweetie” Diane Brennan White who he met while at Keveny and with whom he shared a blessed union for 48 and a half years . He was the loving father of Nancy (Bryan) Allen, John L. (Amy) White Jr. and Colleen White. Father in law of David Blizinski. Brother of the late Edward P. White. Grandfather of Gage Blizinski, Sammi Allen, Ciara Blizinski and Brody White. Brother in law of Jackie and Tim Brennan . Also survived by his treasured cousin of Arthur (Gus) King along with several nieces nephews and other cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7pm from the Marra Funeral Home.
