I had Mr. Corbeil as a math teacher in 1978. He was a very approachable teacher. I majored in engineering in college and went on to teach math. I still think of him after all of these years. I was fortunate to have known him. Thank you Mr. Corbeil.

My first teaching position was as a middle school special ed math teacher. I channeled Mr. C each time I stood in front of my class. He was the one teacher who was able to get me to really do well in math. He had more faith in me than I did in myself. I hope I am one tenth of the teacher he was. Looks like you are all finished checking your work Mr C. and you done good. May you rest in heaven and shine your love down on all of us. Peace and strength to your famy.

Mr. Corbeil was a class act, and a phenomenal Algebra teacher. He had such faith in his students, telling us regularly that we were going to pass the Algebra Regents "with flying colors". He was the best of the best at teaching math that I ever experienced, and I became an engineer in no small part because of the impact he had on my education. A great man!

Mr. Corbeil, it is with a full heart that I fondly remember your guidance, wisdom and kindness during my years at Catholic High. Thank you for allowing us to grow through the events that you directed. You weren't simply teaching us math, you were helping us to prepare for college and beyond. I'm forever grateful to you. May your family find solace at this difficult time and may you share in God's eternal peace. - Mike Gisondi CCHS '91

Joe was my 9th grade Algebra teacher at CCHS and a big part of why I went on to a career in mathematics and engineering. He was a wonderful teacher who inspired me, and to whom I will always be grateful. However, my most vivid memory of him is not at all related to mathematics or teaching; it is actually of Joe singing "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" in our Junior show during the spring of 1983. I was completely awed by his performance, and to this day, 30+ years later, every time I hear that song, I think of Joe (and Tom Cruise). He was a man of many talents and virtues, and he effected more lives than he ever knew... Tami Brown

An amazing man, and I only wish I could have shown my appreciation for him more when I was a teenager. He was always in the underdog's corner, and that's something that struck a chord with me. Good man! RIP, Mr. Corbeil!
