Lawrence P. Kennedy Troy - Lawrence P. Kennedy 64, of Troy entered into eternal life on Friday July 27, 2012 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Lawrence J. and Marguerite Hanley Kennedy and the loving husband of Kathleen Burke Kennedy. Larry was a member of the Teamsters Local 294 and the owner - operator of the former Lincoln Grill on 4th St. in Troy and later re-opening as Kennedy's Tavern on Mill St., he was a member of the Emerald Club as well as an avid golfer, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being poolside with his grandsons. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Kathleen include his 2 sons Lawrence J. Kennedy and Joseph M. (Laurie) Kennedy, he was the proud grandfather of Lawrence P., Joseph C., and Michael P. Kennedy, brother of Catherine (Walter) Babic and uncle of the late Michael Babic. He is also survived by his 2 nephews Walter and Christopher Babic and many friends. Funeral procession will begin on Tuesday at 8:45 am from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 3rd St. Troy to St. Michael the Archangel Church where at 9:30 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home.
