COHOES - Margaret E. Kelly Mitale, 88, of Chadwyck Square in Cohoes died Friday, March 22, 2013, at her residence embraced by her loving family.
Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen England Kelly and beloved wife of the late Michael A. Mitale Sr.
Margaret was a lifelong area resident and received her education in Cohoes schools.
She was employed as a textile worker with Swan Knit for many years.
Margaret was dedicated to her family and home. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and gardening, but her true enjoyment came from the abundant love of her family.
Margaret was a former communicant St. Bernard's Church in Cohoes and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Parish.
She is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Linda M. and Richard Malo of Waterford and Michael A. and Gina Mitale Jr. of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; cherished grandsons, Eric and Scott Malo; loving siblings, Elizabeth Fedorshenko and Eileen La Barge, both of Cohoes, Theresa (Larry) Erno of Clifton Park, John Kelly of North Troy, James (Kay) Kelly of Clifton Park and Robert Kelly of Saratoga; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy Erno, Helen Malo, Anna Mae, Edward, Walter and Frank Kelly.
A funeral service will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. from Holy Trinity Parish.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.
