Marvin E. Towne COHOES - Marvin E. Towne 80 died February 3, 2014. Born in Bethel VT., he was son of the late Richard and Avis Brink Towne. He served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. He later had been employed for many years at Wertime Construction in Cohoes.He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Theresa Keefe Towne, his children Catherine (Henry) Nickarz, Elizabeth ( Douglas) Beaulac and James (Erin ) Towne. He was brother of David (Alice) Towne, Willard (Mary ) Towne, Sharon ( George ) Hoyt and the late Joyce Towne, Patricia Grogan and Jean Hale. Brother in law of Charles Hale. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7pm from the Marra Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday at the Marra Funeral home from 4-7 prior to services. In lieu of flowers donations in Marvin's memory may be made to the VA Hospital volunteers.
