Patrick Testo Obituary

TESTO, PATRICK LIVINGSTON - Patrick D. Testo, 84, formerly of Clifton Park died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Livingston Hills Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Troy, he was son of the late Dominick Testo and Serafina Cioffi Testo and husband of the late Ann Mondore Testo. Mr. Testo was one of 7 son's raised in the "Boat House" of Troy and later at 1 Washington Place. Mr. Testo was a graduate of Troy High School. Mr. Testo worked at Cluett Peabody and later for The Department of Taxation and Finance for the State of New York. In addition, "Pat" worked many years as a bartender at the Golden Fox in Colonie, NY. In the late 70's he owned and operated Testo's Pizzeria in Clifton Park. Mr. Testo was a dedicated Union Delegate. He served several terms as a 2nd Vice President of CSEA at Tax and Finance. He was a past president and active member of the Italian Community Center in Troy, a member of the Bocci League, and an avid NY Yankee and Giants fan. He enjoyed fishing, horse racing and organizing the Testo family reunions. He was a proud US Navy veteran of World War II stationed in the South Pacific. Survivors include his children, Carol Constantino, Amsterdam, Patti Testo O'Brien, Troy, Christopher P. (Eileen)Testo, Westerlo and Michael P. Testo, Delmar; his step children, James V. Lounello, Guilderland,and Mark A. Lounello, Richmond, VA; a brother, Joseph Testo, Rotterdam Junction; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, James, Anthony, Charles, Theodore and Albert Testo and a stepson, Paul J. Lounello. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9AM at the funeral home and at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery Menands. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Patrick Testo to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144.
