Rita had several positions within the New York State Court System and she was also executive secretary to the New York State School Board Association President. She retired as secretary to New York Supreme Court Justice F. Warren Travers. Volunteerism was very important to both her and her husband Chuck. They put many hours in at the Seton Health System. Rita was past president of the Auxiliary at St. Mary's Hospital. In 1995, Rita was the recipient of the Seton DeMarillac Award and she was also awarded Volunteer of the Year. In 2011, Rita received the Father Peter Havermans Leadership Award in recognition for her dedication to Seton Health. Survivors include a daughter Carol J. Dinn of Troy, a son John C.
