Dear Donna and Family,
I was shocked to learn today of Bob's demise. Words can't express the heartfelt sympathy I feel for you, your son, daughter-in-law and grandson, as well as the rest of your extended family. Working with Bob on our SUNYA 50th Reunion brought back so many fond memories of our college days and activities. Bob was such an exuberant, cheerful, and hard-working individual! Bob Gibson was simply a class act who could not have been a better representative for the University and our profession. Prior to his years as Registrar, I had the pleasure of working with Bob during my 9 years at Albany in the 80's and will always remember his professionalism; concern for students; sense of humor; and easy laugh. A great person, he will be missed but not forgotten by those he touched.

I am so sorry to hear this. Bob was a wonderful President of the Board of Education at Brittonkill. He also performed a great service as Parliamentarian for the Science Teachers Association of New York State for many years. I was privileged to know him.

As singers, Bob and I performed many times together, not only in Karen Ranung Studio performances, but also in nursing and retirement homes, hospitals and other venues. He was such a gracious and warm person, so easy to sing with. I often think of him with fondness and miss those musical times we spent together. He is one of those individuals I remember who was of high character--a truly exceptional being. I am sad to hear of his passing and offer my condolences to the family. May the blessings be.
