Earl F. Hebert Cohoes – Earl F. Hebert, 87, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. He was the devoted husband of the late Joan McAvoy Hebert, who died in 2000. Born in Green Island, son of the late John and Bertha LaBarge Hebert, he resided in Troy for many years before moving to Cohoes in the late 1980’s. Earl served his country in the U S Navy during World War II. He had been employed by the former Bendix Corporation in Green Island for many years, retiring as a foreman. He then worked in maintenance at Cayuga Plaza in Cohoes for 20 years. He is the father of Earl Hebert of Wellington, FL and the late Jo-Ann (William) Shaughnessy; grandfather of Tyler Shaughnessy, Julie Menningman, Michelle McClellan and the late Jamie Hebert; brother of the late Bertha, Stella, Edna Mae, Bernadette, Thomas, Jack, Kenneth and Ray Hebert. He is also survived by six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be beside his wife in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Troy.
