Janet M. Hale, 72, of Radley Road went to be with Our Lord Jesus on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Joseph Fox and Alice LeClaire and loving wife of Robert D Hale. She resided in Averill Park since 1967.
Janet was a homemaker, active in the Lake Avenue Community Church, Rensselaer Seniors Center and Rensselaer Variety Performers.
Janet was an avid bowler and was part of a few local leagues. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with her husband and cooking for others. She loved planning family functions, church gatherings and trips to wonderful places with her husband.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her children, Natalie Coyne of North Greenbush, Donna Casey of Albany, Robyn Hale-Wheeler of Averill Park, Joseph (Paula) Casey of Newtonville, Rebecca (Lee) Gardner of California; her 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Lee, Jack. and Garland Fox.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Ave., Troy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Gary Coonradt officiating.
Interment will be at St. Henry's Cemetery in Averill Park.
