MELROSE - Gaetana A. Tash, better known as Tina Tash, died peacefully in Hospice Home Care with her family on July 17, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Carmella Castiglione of Troy, born April 9,1926, and is the wife of Edward J. Tash of Melrose. Tina graduated from Troy High School and was married in 1947. After that, she worked for the State Tax Department as a clerk for three years until she had a family.
Tina will be remembered for her wonderful gift of hospitality and love to all of her family and friends throughout her life. For that we are extremely grateful and she will remain in our hearts always.
She is survived by her husband Edward Tash, son, Gary Tash (Deborah), daughter, Marina Carter and siblings, Lee Flynn, Mary Supernant and Paul Castiglione (Jeanette), sisters-in-law, Norma Castiglione and Rose Ziter and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Monday, July 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Ave. (124th and 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh. The interment will be in the Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville at the family's convenience.
