SCARCHILLI, PHILOMENA WATERFORD - Philomena L. Scarchilli, 92, formerly of 2nd St. died Monday December 26, 2011 at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sania Pascucci Rosamilia. She was educated in Troy and was a graduate of Albany Business College. Prior to her marriage she worked at Matton's Shipyard and later enjoyed working at Joe's Bakery and Marra's Pharmacy in Waterford. Phil was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, a member and officer in the Altar Society, a member of the Shut-In Committee, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Rosary Makers Guild at the Church. She was a Charter Member and officer in St. Mary's School Mothers Club. Phil was a Cub Scout Den Mother, St. Mary's Girls Club Instructor. She was a member and Trustee of the Waterford Museum, a Village Honoree and a volunteer at Waterford Harbor Center. She enjoyed antiques, playing cards and reading Phil was the widow of Anthony M. Scarchilli who died in 2002. She is mother of A. Pamela Moulton (Ed) of Waterford, A. David Scarchilli (Cheryl) of Walpole, MA, Marc A. Scarchilli (Lori) of Waterford and Matthew J. Scarchilli (Kathleen) of Cohoes. She is mother in law of Dianne Scarchilli of Mansfield, MA. She is also survived by Antoinette Rosamilia, Joseph A. Rosamilia of Troy, Leona Kern of Waterford, Lucy Madden Lozon of Florida and the late Patrick J. and Louis Rosamilia. 11 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Friday at 12:30 p.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 1 p.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4-8 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions to St. Mary of the Assumption Church Restoration Fund or Eddy Village Green Quality of Life Fund in care of the funeral home office.
