Mary Louise Fritz Obituary
LATHAM - Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Dralle Fritz, 93, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born Jan. 13, 1919, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Elizabeth A.R. Brennan Dralle.
Mary Lou was raised and educated in Watervliet and resided in Latham for the past 50 years. She was employed as a tax examiner for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for more than 20 years before retiring.
She was an active parishioner of the former St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet, where she was a member of the Craft Guild and the Rosary Society.
She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Fritz, who died in 1999; devoted mother of Kenneth M. (Mary) Fritz of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael G. (Doris Jean) Fritz of Winchester, Mass.; dear sister of Dorothy Dralle of Schenectady and the late Elizabeth M. Dralle and William F. Dralle; and grandmother of Catherine and Megan Fritz, both of Winchester, Mass., Barbara (William) Hummel and Linda (Jeremy) Korniak, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Karen (David) Locke of Portland, Ore. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Barbara Strand; and several nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham, and at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Latham, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Erwin H. Schweigardt. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Watervliet.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at the funeral home.
The family is greatly appreciative of loving and dedicated caregivers Sherry, Crystal, Jennifer, Lynn and Marilyn, and would also like to thank the staff of Community Hospice of Rensselaer.
