Mary Jean Hatz Obituary
TROY - Mary Jean Hatz, 73, of Sixth Avenue, entered into eternal life Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy.
Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late John Rousseau and Mary Ann Pelletier Rousseau. Mary Jean was educated at St. Joseph's School in Cohoes.
She was employed as a seamstress for Barkley Home Products in Cohoes.
Mary Jean was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Daniel F. "Dan" Hatz, who died Sept. 25, 2006; and seven brothers and sisters, Henry, Richard, Leonard, Joseph and Andrew Rousseau, Pauline Turino and Betty Vanier.
She was the devoted mother of Daniel A. (Susan Bilka) Hatz of Cohoes, Lisa Ann Hatz and Michelle Marie (Randy) Johnson, all of Schaghticoke; sister of Eugene Rousseau and Anita Rousseau, both of Cohoes; grandmother of Thomas Anthony and Sarah Jean Hatz, Heather St. Pierre, Randy James Johnson Jr. and Amanda Lynn Johnson; great-grandmother of Adam Michael Hatz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh, with burial to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. At Mary Jean's request, there will be no calling hours.
