COHOES >> Shirley A. St. Onge Jurusik, 77, of Simmons Ave in Cohoes died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital embraced by her loving family.

Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. and Mary Paulzak St. Onge.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and graduated from Cohoes High School. Shirley was dedicated to her loving family and home. She was employed with the New York State Department of Tax and Finance and retired as a senior clerk in 2000 with the New York State Department of Labor.
Shirley enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Cohoes High School Alumni Association and the Lansingburgh Senior Citizens. She was a former communicant of the Church of the Holy Trinity.
She is survived by her devoted children, Donald M. (Sonny Hickey) Jurusik of Middle Grove, Kathleen M. Jurusik of Latham, Janice A. (Bruce Robideau) Jurusik of Cohoes and Christine M. Burkey of Clifton Park; adored grandsons, Ian and Adam Burkey; and brother, Paul (Naomi) St. Onge of North Greenbush.
She was predeceased by her brother John (Kitty) St. Onge.
She is also survived by her dear cousin and best friend, Jane Wade of Cohoes, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins
A funeral service from Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. from the Church of the Holy Trinity.
Interment will be at Saints Peter & Paul's Ukrainian Cemetery in Waterford.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
