Robert A. Deo Obituary
Robert A. Deo TROY - Robert A. Deo, 56, of Troy, New York, entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2014 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on December 19, 1957 in Troy, the son of the late James A. and Beverly (Stark) Deo. Robert graduated from Hoosick Valley High in 1976. He had worked at various jobs but was most proud of his service as a member of the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne, serving from 1976 to 1979. Robert also served during Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991. Robert is survived by his two daughters Bobbie Lynn and Rebecca Deo and his two grandsons Ethan and Stanley and his loving companion of Cathy Ruggles. He is also survived by four sisters Mary (Edward) Costa, Barbara (Butch) Millington, Debra Deo and Donna Maloney and his two brothers Richard (the late Tina) Deo and Walter (Janice) Deo and several nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. Robert was predeceased by one sister Beverly and two brothers James and William . The funeral service for Robert will be held on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 at 11:30 am from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd Street, Troy with Pastor John Greenough officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10 am to 11:30 am. Interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York. Contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to Patient’s Fund of the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, New York. The family wishes to thank the Hospice staff at the Stratton VA Medical Center for their outstanding support and care for Robert, with special thanks to Nathan Baum, Tracy and Tom.
