Phillip B. Lennox DELANSON - Phillip B. Lennox, 78, of Delanson passed away at home on Sunday April 27, 2014. Born in Gouverneur, NY, Phillip was the son of the late Benjamin and Marion (Young) Lennox. A veteran of both the US Army and Air Force, Phil worked as supervisor in the collection department at the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation for 10 years and was a former general manager at Devonshire Properties. Phillip was member number 1, exalted ruler and was instrumental in establishing the Esperance Elks Lodge #2507 where he was a life member and he was a charter member of the Gouverneur Elks Lodge. He also belonged to the VFW post 2303 and was a private pilot. Phillip is predeceased by one grandson, Matthew Rabideau. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl J. (Chamberlin) Lennox, as well as his children Benjamin B. Lennox III (Stacey) of Canton, GA, Tracy R. Rabideau (Curtis) of Delanson and Candy Meeks (William) of Gouverneur. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Abigail, Alexandra and Thomas Lennox, Alexander Rabideau, and Michael, Amanda and Krystal Meeks. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday May 3, 2014 at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil’s name can be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 132 Duanesburg-Churches Road, Duanesburg, NY 12056 or to Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 130 Cole Road Delanson, NY 12053.
