I obviously got it wrong in my condolence note of 2013. Although my father did work with Harold in Chicago, it could not have been from 1928 because Harold would have been only 14 years old at the time!

My father, Joseph Chase, worked with Harold in Chicago, 1928-1948. As a young boy, I remember visiting the office and meeting Harold. On a whim, without knowing of Harold's passing and never having looked him up before, I Googled Harold this morning to learn the sad news. Dad always spoke warmly and admiringly of Harold, and he took what he had learned in Chicago to Los Angeles where he continued to practice real estate management. Joe died in 1997. Condolences to the family. I can be contacted at [email protected]

Harold was a good friend. I visited him nearly every Thursday for the past four years. We were brothers in arms and shared numerous war stories as well as our love for old cars. It was pleasure to have known him. Sincere condolences from the VA and myself.
