EMSLIE, Joanne Sadie - Tucson  
EMSLIE, Joanne Sadie, was born January 15, 1942 to Catherine and Joseph Kosik in Hokendaqua, PA. She entered into Heaven on December 17, 2014. She was pre-deceased by her parents and siblings, Dorothy Gori, Theresa Gregus, Joseph Kosik and Richard Kosik. She is survived by her son, Joey Martin and Lisa and sister, Mary McLaughlin along with nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at South Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in memory to Peppi's House, TMC Hospice Endowment, 5301 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. Arrangements by FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN.

Funk, George Alexander - Tucson  
George Alexander Funk passed away to a more peaceful world on December 17, 2014. Born March 4, 1923 in Seattle, Washington to Roy I. Funk, Sr., and Marie A. Funk (nee Brons). George is survived by his loving wife of 45 years (married October 11, 1969) Marie Funk. Surviving wonderful relatives include niece and nephew, Kathy and Chris Funk, cousins: Dee Dee Kneeshaw, Mary Ann Abel (John), Tony Manca (Cathy), and Chuck Manca (Lupita); and the memory of his brother, Roy I. Funk (Beverly) and two beautiful aunts: Adella Manca and Claire Priewe. George survived two years in a rifle company in France and Northern Italy in World War II, and was honorably discharged at the rank of 1st Sergeant. Graduating from the 1955 class at the University of Washington. George arrived in Arizona and settled down in Tucson in 1957. 1969 through 1971 Mr. Funk was employed as the Southern Arizona Field Representative for the State of Arizona Civil Rights Commission and he continued his participation in both civil rights and in protest of every U.S. armed war following World War II. As a Social Service Worker, he retired after 14 years with the Department of Economic Security Child Protective Services. Graveside Services will be conducted at Holy Hope Cemetery on North Oracle Road in the Chapel of the Nativity Mausoleum on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME DODGE CHAPEL.

Gabb, Jasmine  
Jasmine Gabb, RN BSN MA 1951 - 2014 Died in Tucson, AZ and entered heaven on December 3, 2014. Born in Havana, Cuba she emigrated to the United States at six years old, became a naturalized citizen at 17. She graduated from Miami - Dade High School, earned degrees at Florida Institute of Technology and University of Phoenix. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, Educator and Clinical Nurse. She is survived by her loving husband, W. John Gabb and son, Tyler J. Gabb of Tucson; mother, Linda Perdices and father, Antonio Perdices Jr., M.D. of Miami, Fla., many aunts and uncles, Milly Cabrera and Carlos Reynaldo Saenz, Marina and Israel Cabrera, Margarita and Carlos Cabrera, Deysi Cabrera and Carlos Banos, many cousins and their families, and so many friends. Jasmine was a very skilled nurse, she loved her work and coworkers during her career at Tucson Medical Center, Tucson Unified School District and American School for the Deaf and Blind. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service was held. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY.

GORDON, Marie, 82, beloved Mom and best friend. Died peacefully at home, on December 15, 2014 with children, Kim, Mike, Candee and cats, Angel and Gracie at her side. Lasch, Jeannette  
Jeannette Lasch of Pinetop, AZ went to heaven on December 13, 2014. She was born to Maurice and Jeannette (Steiniger) Keezer on September 5, 1927 in Bronx, NY. Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Lasch and is survived by her three children, Cyrus Lasch, Jr., Jeannette McCluer and Robert Lasch; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Vincent, Kenneth, Clifford and many nieces and nephews. Jeannette moved to Pinetop, AZ from Tucson after retirement. During Jeannette's time in Tucson, she worked as the advertising manager for the University of Arizona Daily Wildcat and served as the Pima County Assessor's administrator assistant. She was president of the Tucson Advertising Club as well as Pima County Women's Republican Club. In Pinetop, Jeannette remained active in volunteering at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center. LEDBETTER, Nancy Marianne  
LEDBETTER, Nancy Marianne, October 3, 1955 - December 2, 2014. Born in Phoenix, AZ to Jim and Barbara Krauth. Nancy is survived by her father, Jim Krauth, two brothers, Bob (Patricia) Krauth of Yakima, WA and David Krauth of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Brenda Krauth of Kirkland, WA; nieces and nephews, Justin, Alexis, Shawn, Brittany and her very beloved cat, Punkin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, sister-in-law, Maureen and nephew, Matthew. Nancy had a heart of gold. She was giving, caring and devoted to those close to her. Her creativity was a gift she shared with others throughout her life. Her love for the botanical world was a lifelong pursuit. She taught us how to smile in the face of adversity and about strength that builds from within. More than anything, she knew the importance of family and friends and cherished those dear and close to her. Many blessings to you, Dearheart. McAllister, Joyce Marie  
Joyce Marie McAllister 60, passed away November 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in York, Pennsylvania, Joyce moved to Tucson in 1956 and was a graduate of Catalina High School in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years. A woman with many talents, her true calling was as a mother and grandmother. Despite only having one child and one grandchild of her own, she was a loving motherly figure to many others. She loved her family, the holidays and living in Show Low in the snow; a place she considered to be God's country. Joyce is survived by her sister, Donna; husband, Bob; son, Justin and grandson, L.J. She will be laid to rest with her parents at East Lawn Cemetery in a private ceremony. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

MCCLEOD, Dolores Deliah Spoo  
MCCLEOD, Dolores Deliah Spoo, passed away peacefully December 12, 2014 at La Canada Care Center in Tucson, AZ at the age of 88. She was born February 12, 1926 in St. Paul, MN to parents, Lawrence and Francis Spoo. Dolores moved to Tucson, AZ in 1971 and worked as an accountant at JC Penny for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Box and loving husband of 50 years, Robert McCleod. The two were married in Waukegan, IL in 1944. Dolores is survived by her daughters, Terry Daly (Richard) Norfolk, NE, Carol Dow Wadsworth, IL and Judy Mjelde (Jerry) Stephenson, MI. As well as her 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Dolores will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Arrangements by MARANA MORTUARY AND CEMETERY.

MOFFETT, Eileen McKenzie  
MOFFETT, Eileen McKenzie, 89, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on November 20, 2014 after a brief illness. Eileen was born on November 4, 1925 in New Haven, CT. She graduated from Hillsdale College in MI in 1947, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Her life's work was teaching. She moved to Tucson in the 1950's and taught for many years at Sam Hughes and Jefferson Park elementary schools. Her annual tradition of playing Pomp and Circumstance on the piano for the kindergarten graduations was remembered by all. After her long career in education, Eileen became the office manager for the United Nations Association Center and served in that capacity for 22 years. Her support for the UN and for UNICEF was unwavering. She enriched the lives of volunteers and staff alike with her kindness and her cheerful and generous heart. Some of her favorite things were Mexican food, having a cocktail with friends, good books, and quiet evenings at home with Mary Ann. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Moffett; sister, Elizabeth Moffett Peake; nephew, Bob Peake and best friend, Mary Ann Hough. She is survived by her nephews, Jeff (Betty) Peake and Bill (Shirley) Peake; niece, Karen Clayton Peake and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Beth (John) Phillips, Rob Peake, Tom Peake, David Peake, Chris (Salena) Peake and Doug Peake. No local service will be held. She will be interred at Hazel Wood Cemetery in NJ alongside her parents. In memory of Eileen, please make a donation to UNICEF or the charity of your choice. Guillermo R. Ormsby born June 16, 1934, beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went home to the Lord on December 16, 2014. Preceded in death by his parents, "Big John" Ormsby and Ruth Quijano; brother, Ernest Ormsby and son, John Ormsby. Survived by his wife, Pearl; children, Rachael, Alfred, Jackie, Ruth Ann, Rita and Rudy; brothers, George, Robert and Conrad; sisters, Edilia and Cecilia; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dad, we love you so much, your spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you for blessing our lives, remember us with smiles, laughter and humor, that is how we will remember you.
