Charlotte Flanigen ZARTMAN

ZARTMAN, Charlotte Flanigen, 80, died peacefully on November 7, 2012 after a short illness. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 5, 1932, she graduated from Murphy High School in Atlanta and from the Julliard School of Music in New York, New York. She also attended the University of Texas at El Paso. A harpist, Charlotte played with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra from 1959 to 1961, when she moved away from Tucson. Throughout her life, Charlotte was a teacher of music and an avid gardener. She traveled extensively and enoyed the adventure and learning about the places she visited. She moved back to Tucson in 2005 and has been active in the Opera Guild and the Tucson Symphony. Survivors are a son, Louis J. Bahin (Lila) from Missoula, Montana, and a daugher, Charlotte M. Bahin from Alexandria, Virginia and two grandsons, Riley and Colin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tucson Symphony or to St Michael's & All Angels Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St Michael's & All Angels Church, 602 N. Wilmont Road, Tucson, Arizona. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.
