Eleanor Dyer and Warren E. Dyer, Jr. "Ellie" Dyer (nee Boss), 64, of Oro Valley, passed away on November 27, 2012. She was born in Passaic, NJ to Cecilia (nee Soltis) and the late William Boss, Sr. Ellie was a loving wife to Warren and a wonderful mother to Dawn Webb and Heather Heatherly. She was a beloved sister to Pat Boss, the late Diane Boss, William Boss Jr. and his wife, Mirtha and a dear Aunt to Keith Boss and Crystal Perez. Ellie enjoyed novels, puzzles and game night with her friends. Warren Dyer, 64, of Oro Valley, passed away on November 28, 2012. He was born in Paterson, N.J. to the late Henrietta Dyer (nee Rightmyer). Warren was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge, CVS 33. He later served on the police force with the Passaic County, NJ Sheriff's Department, with special duty on the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team as a scuba diver. He retired from the police force in 1995 with 25 years of service. Warren was the loving husband of Ellie and the wonderful father of Dawn Webb and Heather Heatherly. He enjoyed food, film, and Old West history. Ellie and Warren both attended Passaic Valley H.S. in Little Falls, New Jersey. They began courting during their freshman year and were married shortly after high school graduation. They shared 44 years together as husband and wife. They moved to Oro Valley 18 years ago. Ellie worked for short a time at St. Mark's Church and Warren briefly worked at Miraval. A Memorial Service for Ellie and Warren will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley.
