James Clifford Taylor

James Clifford Taylor Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 1, 2013 surrounded by family. Born October 6, 1926 to Ermiline Papineau and George Taylor in Chatham, Ontario Canada. Predeceased by first wife, Mary E. Taylor; son, James Charles Taylor; daughter, Janet M. Taylor; brothers, Harold (Gwen) Taylor, Bill (Nellie) Taylor; sisters, Marion (Frank) Kearns, Teresa (Donald) Robertson, Ann (Douglas) Conley, Thomas (Pauline) Taylor. Survived by second wife, Iris Dale-Taylor; daughter, Charlene (Todd) Williams and sister, Margaret (Jack) Race; daughter-in-law, Mary F. Taylor and many nieces and nephews throughout Canada and Michigan; stepson, Anthony (Roma) Dale; stepdaughter, Linda (Tim) Smith; step-grandchildren, Alexander, Adriana Dale, Quinn, Dylann and Kellen Smith. James was in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Seaman in World War II. Graduated in 1948 from Assumption College in Windsor, Ontario (University of Western Ontario). Immigrated to the U.S. with his wife, Mary and became Citizens together. They were married 55 years when Mary died in 2005. Son, James passed away of cancer in November, 2008 and daughter, Janet passed of cancer in April, 2012. James met Iris Dale in 2007 when both served on the Board of Directors at St. Augustine Catholic High School. They were married on February 16, 2008 and enjoyed five great years together. Over 50 years, James was in the Automotive and Tire Sales business, Commercial Investments and Development. He leaves grandchildren, Andrew (Soledad) Taylor, Joseph (Kiran) Taylor, Chrissy Taylor, Janielle, Amandine and Ben (Kate) Williams; great-grandchildren, Arjun, Naveen and Santiago Taylor and Owen Williams. Sir James is a Knight Commander and member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas The Apostle Parish for the Homebound and Retirement Facilities. Past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club, The U of A Music Dept. and was board Member of St. Augustine Catholic High School. Memorial mass to be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Thomas The Apostle Chapel, 5150 N. Valley View Road, Tucson, AZ at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
