Leslie Parker KILLIPS

KILLIPS, Leslie Parker, born in Evanston, Illinois in 1924, passed away November 3, 3012. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Danforth. She was educated at Evanston Township High School, Carleton College, and graduated from Northwestern University in 1947. For 15 years Mrs. Killips was Braille transcriber for the Evanston School System. In Tucson, to which she and her husband moved in 1973, she was active in the Casas Adobes Congregational Church outreach work and in the service of shut-ins through the "telecare" program of Interfaith Community Services (ICS). Also she was involved with providing help and transportation for persons in need with the VICAP program. She is survived by sons, Bruce (grandson, Kristopher) and John. Also sister and best friend, Lindley Ray; nieces, Katelin Hampton and Rebecca Peppas, and favorite cousin, Jane Bredeson. Services will be private.
