Sam C. Carpio

Sam C. Carpio 7/31/1929 - 11/5/2013 born and raised in Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He proudly served as SGT, Marine Corps during the Korean War where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. A loving and devoted family man he married Eva Acevedo, the love of his life, in 1950 and were married until her death in 1991. Sam is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eva; his mother, Eva Canales and brother, Neftalie Herran. He is survived by his four children, Michael and his wife, Eudalia; daughter, Elsa; sons, Ron and his wife, Elizabeth; Randy and his wife, Eve; granddaughter, Julie and four great-grandchildren, Noe, Irazema, Silvano and Lorenzo. A Service will be held at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3535 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85705 on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in memory of Sam C.
