William H. "Bill" Morgan

William H. "Bill" Morgan Age 88, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from complications of hip fracture surgery two weeks prior to his death. Born in Hutchinson, KS, Bill was the son of the late John Albert and Elinor (Martin) Morgan. He served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Afterward, he earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University. He worked as a mechanical engineer in Wichita, KS for Coleman, Boeing and Gates Learjet, and was the Director of Design Engineering for Gates Learjet and Bombardier in Tucson, AZ. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Tucson. His faith and the fellowship there were very dear to him. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Vada Belle Morgan; brother, Jack W. Morgan and sister, Dorothy Brown. He is survived by his children, Steven Morgan of Indio, CA and Susan Salvatore and her husband, Victor of Hockessin, DE; two grandchildren, Steven and Heather Salvatore. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, KS. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park with military honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
