William N. "Bill" Fuller

William N. Fuller "Bill" 88, of Tucson, left this world to be with the angels on March 28, 2014. He is survived by two sisters. His legacy includes five children, Alan (Pat) Fuller, Laurie (Dan) Volocyk, Holly (Kerry) Zuber, Keith (Linda) Fuller and Beth (Paul) Appleton; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Anne V. Fuller; their infant son, Craig N. Fuller and two brothers. Bill served in the Army Air Force from 1943-46. After the war he met Anne Volz and they married in 1951. He devoted his energy to raising their family, his gardening, and his church – always there to lend a helping hand. He was an avid woodworker and carpenter, building his own home. He loved to talk about the weather and share his knowledge of it. He retired from his job as Director of Maintenance at a YMCA in 1994 and moved to Tucson. Bill was ever the gracious host, touching the lives of many with his gentle smile and kind demeanor. He and Anne spent the last couple of years together in their home at Friendship Villas in Tucson where they were well loved by both residents and staff alike. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Sunrise Chapel, 8421 E. Wrightstown Rd., in Tucson.
