I'm going to miss her long, news filled Christmas letters. I always looked forward to the Christmas cards from Arizona. She was a lovely lady and she is going to be missed.

Jean was a favourite cousin of my Mother's(, Ila Mae Pearce) Smith. It was always a wonderful to be there when we were up in Soo Michagen, and Mom and Jean got together. Her parents, my Uncle Truman and Aunt Lilly were great favourites of mine. I loved Uncle Truman's wonderful deep voice and he always bounced me in the air as a wee one, and always had a quarter for me..a treasure to be sure. I can picture them still sitting together in Grandma's (Mary Barclay) Pearce front room, always laughing and kidding us.. A wonderful family all..

I remember our family driving to Tucson from the Sault in 1963 so my Mom and Aunt Jean, two sister, could spend Christmas together. Aunt Jean and Uncle Wil gave us a great experience. We had a wonderful Christmas even without snow! The good old days will be missed!

I always will treasure Jean's desire to support all of us in whatever we chose to develop in our lives. In our household those packages from Aunt Jean meant there was going to be something thoughtful and kind. Our vacation to the Buck home with 12 of us all in one house was a memory we will always treasure. Jean and Wil fed and entertained us all for a week and we were all introduced to the wonders of Arizona. She added a great deal of Christian love and gentleness to this world that will be truly missed.

Jean and I spent many enjoyable times talking in the alley over the past 36 years. None of are talks solved any world problems, just talked about our husbands and children and the neighborhood around us. Will miss that time talking with one of my neighbors that I have known for so long. Goodby Jean. Katie Harrington

I'll miss you, Jean. For 38 years I've been your daughter-in-law and I am so grateful for the wonderful son you raised and the love you always had for both of us. You were a good woman and I know you will rest in Paradise while you wait for Wilbert.
