There have been so many times that I have thought of you...your attention to detail, the "science" that you put into throwing. You coached the minute details that others did not, and your success was in the quiet confidence of your instruction. You gained the respect of your students and athletes by your knowledge and success. You were a mentor to me without knowing it. As I age, I realize how good you really were. I don't think you ever knew how many lives you touched.

Joe I respected you for your integrity and constant support of students. The world has lost a solid and strong man. I suspect that Hoss was ready to welcome you and is today introducing you to the other track and field coaches on Gods Team
