This past March when I was reflecting on the strengh of women your name came to mind I remember the words you told me in passing to be myself and do what is right and don't let people bully you. Your words meant a lot that very tough day, I had wondered if you were still with us at that time, and am sorry to hear of your passing but God must have needed a tough-no nonsense Angel. Prayers to your Family, may they take care.

Dear Kaylene and Yarbrough cousins: I will always remember Aunt Odie as my first contact with the Yarbrough clan. She inspired me and made me feel so welcome from the first visit with Noel back in 1972.Between Odie and My "Mom" Valta everything i have learned about being a Godly woman, I learned from their example.Bless all of you now with peace, Kathy (Yarbrough) Brooks, Flagstaff, AZ

We were the blessed recipients of her Sunday pot roast dinners on several occasions. She always had an open home and open heart, and exemplified the perfect example of a Godly Christian woman. her life touched and influenced many. I loved hearing her sing her beautiful Alto at church. Loved her, and will miss her.

My prayer and hope for all of us who are striving to reach our final destination through the mercy and grace afforded us because of our faith and obedience to the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will one day reunite us with our beloved
sister in Christ. My dear Aunt Odie, I will miss the domino games, that perfect hand you would quietly upset by holding on to some domino like a five/trey that would set me on the last play, then gently smile as I tried to deal with it. You will be missed, but Lord willing I will see you again ...some day!!

Jim and I always loved going to Tucson to visit with Oda and Sewell on Sundays when Jim had to preach for both assemblies. I remember her serving us beef stew that she cooked to perfection. Her gentleness and compassion are admirable.
I am happy that her suffering has ended. She and Jim are now together in the lovng arms of our Creator.

I wish so much that I could have been there with the family today! I have always loved Odie so much...she was the perfect example of what a true Christian woman should be. She inspired me in so many ways. She and Sewell have always been there for me. I can't imagine life without her in it. I know she's in a much better place now but I will miss her!!
