Richard William BRENDEL Jr.

1927 - 2017

BRENDEL, Richard William Jr. Age 90, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went home to the Lord on December 28, 2017 in Green Valley, Arizona. Survived by his wife, Luciejean; daughters, Linda (John), Virginia (Nick), Kathleen (Mark),; four grandchildren, John (Vanessa), Justin, Andrew, Joelle; and one great-grandchild, Lucy. He was born on May 4, 1927 in Hillside, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1950 with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Sampson during WWII and continued as a Lieutenant JG in the reserve until 1950. Richard retired (over 30 years) from Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, New York, as an Electrical Engineering Supervisor. He enjoyed photography, square dancing, woodworking and traveling with Luciejean. The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to Valor Hospice, along with Prestige Assisted and Memory Care staff (Green Valley, AZ). Richard's visitation will be held on, on Friday, January 5, 2018, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, with Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., Cryptside Service to follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.
