Rowena Bradley Obituary

Rowena Amelia Bradley, nee Steele was called to her heavenly home May 3, 2011 and we rejoice with her as she is reunited with her beloved husband, William Strauther Bradley. Born in Madison, Kansas to Viola and Walter Steele, June 24, 1922, she spent her childhood in New Mexico and met her future husband there. She and her husband settled in Tucson in 1943 and raised their four children here. Her love of God was the focus of her life in how she lived and how she treated all those she met. She was a generous, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband were faithful members of New Testament Baptist Church and they took an active roll in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband (of almost 62 years), her sisters, Sydney and Ruby and her brothers, Barry and Walter. She is survived by her sister, Ruth; her children, Susan (Joe) Vargas, William (Crystal) Bradley, Judy L. Bradley and Sidney (Cindy) Bradley; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her family expresses deep appreciation to all those who assisted in her care. The Viewing will take place at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY on Thursday, May 5, 2011, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, Friday, May 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. The committal service will immediately follow. Donations may be made to New Testament Baptist Church. We'll never stop loving you, Mom, and will keep you in our hearts forever.
