Susanne LOCKWOOD Obituary

LOCKWOOD, Susanne K. 4/6/1946 - 12/2/2016 Retired purchasing agent for the University of Arizona, died on December 2, 2016 in Tucson after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Lockwood; her parents, Nicholas and Virginia Kinsch; and her brother, Nick Kinsch. She is survived by her sister, Chris Kinsch Bellacero, and her brother-in-law, Joe Bellacero, of Tuckahoe, New York; also, her brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Jane Lockwood of Tucson. Sue was devoted to her husband and her cats. She was "Aunt Sue" to many nieces and nephews, in whom she took great pleasure. She was born in Mount Vernon, New York in 1946 and attended the Bronx Community College in New York and Monmouth College in Illinois. She was an office worker at Barnes & Noble in Manhattan and at the Manhattan office of Steve's Advertising Art, Inc. She had an artistic flair which showed in her home decorating as well as in needlepoint and crochet and, at one time, in painting. Sue came to Tucson with her husband in 1980 and both enjoyed successful careers at the University of Arizona. In later years they summered in Brewster, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. No Memorial Service is planned, but anyone wishing to honor Sue's memory may make a donation in her name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

I remember Sue as my mentor as I was learning my job. Her kind sweet tender side and her patience. May God give you all comfort during this time.
