Just learning about Jed's passing. Our family has been blessed to have known Jed for so many years. I enjoyed our professional relationship and more importantly our friendship. Jed was such a caring good man. Our children will never forget the birthday cards Jed sent each year. We will miss his sweet spirit. Kelly, please accept our late condolences to you and your family. We were heartbroken to hear about Jed's passing. What a wonderful guy and financial guru. He changed our perspective about our investments. We will miss our visits with him and the sharing of hunting/fishing pictures and stories. Our love and condolences go out to Kelly and the rest of his family. We are blessed to have known him and will remember him always.

It is heartbreaking to learn of Jeds passing. My wife, Silvia, and I were blessed to have met both Jed and Kelly prior to my retirement. There was an immediate trust of Jed and that never waivered due to his wonderful personality and openness with us. Please accept our late condolences and know our prayers for Jed and his entire family.

I received the sad news of Jed's passing yesterday. Stopping by his office earlier, his presence is very much missed. Jed welcomed me to Mayfield Financial a few years ago with his easy going, personal approach. A solid man of character who will be missed by so many.

I had the greatest honor of working for Jed from June 1990 til June 1995 but maintained a close friendship even after I left Mayfield Agencies. He helped me through my divorce, and my car accident. No one could know Jed better than the ones closest to him. I just learned today of his passing and my heart breaks for his family. He will never be forgotten at least by me and those he loves.

jed was a awesome man. I always say that you can tell the success of a life when you think of a person that has passed you have a smile when you think of them. not their wealth but who the are. that is jed for me and my husband. til we meet again love jim and Vicky king

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Jed's passing. He was my mother's and my financial advisor since the early 90's and I knew some members of his family well throughout the years. Jed was truly a man of service, love and generosity to all he knew. He will be missed by all. I had the opportunity to serve with Jed in the Ohio Columbus mission field back in 1978 as his companion. We shared many of the same interests. A love for horses, outdoors, working hard and a great love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learn many things from Elder Mayfield to which I am grateful. May Heavenly Father shower your family with His tender mercies and love until we all meet again.

Brother Mayfield was in the bishopric in the Singles Ward when I got home from my mission. He was always so welcoming and made me feel apart of the ward family. He was such an awesome guy, and so much fun to be with. I always looked forward to being with him, and cried all through Sacrament meeting the day he was released. I am so thankful I was blessed to know him! He was such a wonderful man! I will always remember his example and testimony of Jesus Christ.

My heart is truly breaking to hear about Brother Mayfield, he was truly a wonderful blessing to me as he shared his wonderful testimony of the gospel! He will be greatly missed, but I truly know that he is with loved ones on the other side of the veil!

I can't explain how much I looked up to Brother Mayfield. He always made me feel like he cared about what was going on in my life, and I know he did that for everyone. He was such an amazing example of how a true follower of Christ should live their life and I love him and his family so much.

I will never forget getting the call that my brother David had committed suicide. I was in a HC meeting sitting next to Jed and had to ask to be excused so I could go inform our sister and his son. I stood up to leave and Jed jumped up and hugged me. I can't tell you how much I needed that right then. I hope he has now met David and hugged him too. Here this man was, fighting cancer like a champion, and all he had for me was compassion. A truly great soul.

Our hearts are so heavy from the loss of such a beautiful soul. My husband and I met Jed through Wayne T, if memory serves me right ...about 1990 so not too long after they moved to Tucson. We became lifelong friends and in my mind we are more like family. Every single memory I have of Jed and his family put a smile on my face. He and Kelly always had time for us, it didn't matter what he was doing, he had a way of making you feel important and loved. He will continue to be an inspiration to us every day!! Sending prayers of comfort to all family and friends. Love you guys!

Jed served in the bishopric of my singles ward for a time and made sure everyone felt loved. He was a great friend to all with a sense of humor we all appreciated. I will miss seeing Bro. Mayfield at various church functions and the excited way he always came up to my wife and I.
