Am saddened by the news of Jaime's passing. I taught with both Jame and Teresa. I felt honored teaching their daughter Marivel in first grade. His smile is memorable. Abrazos a Uds.

He was a great person to know. He was the first one to invite us to his home for dinner. He and Teresa watched our dogs when we were on vacation. He always had a smile and was easy to talk to. I am going to miss his smile, voice and kindness. My prayers are being sent to the family who will miss him greatly. Please call on me if I can help with anything.

It was unexpected news when Fernando and I saw Jaime's obituary in the Arizona Daily Star yesterday. At the moment, we are out of town and would definitely be at the funeral if circumstances were different.
Jaime and I studied at the University of Arizona together to get our Masters Degree in Language, Reading and Culture. I always enjoyed studying with him and hearing his viewpoint on the pertinent issues. His knowledge of Hispanic culture and dedication to share it was always a joy for me and we remained in contact as we both became bilingual educators in TUSD.
His passing is a great loss to his many friends and family members, especially Theresa, Marivel, and Javier. We send our most heartfelt condolences to you all!

Jaime, I will miss your beautiful smile, your wonderful laugh, your delicious cooking and your wonderful sense of humor. I used to love running into you and catching up. Javi, Briana, Emma and all the family of Mr. ROYBAL. There are no words to help ease this pain. Mr. ROYBAL was a great example of true faith and service to everyone who knew him. I last saw him at Saint Augustine's Cathedral and admire him and his family for living life until the very end. God continue to be the reason for your comfort. Prayers and blessings to all of you.
