Juan V. Escalante 4/11/1935 - 8/27/2015 Master Sgt. Juan V. Escalante, April 11, 1935, Native Tucsonan, 80 passed away on August 27, 2015 at his home in Borrego Springs, Ca. Juan had lived for the past six years in Borrego Springs with his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Swartz. Juan is predeceased by his parents Miguel and Juanita; daughter, Jacqui Wilcox and Brother Jose. Juan went on to serve and retire as a Master Sargent from the United States Air Force and the Civil Service. He was an honorary Sheriffs volunteer and Arizona Ranger. Juan had a love of his American Legion Brethren, horses and volunteering his services to charities such as, the Miracle on 31st Street annual Christmas party for the underprivileged children, and the Tucson Food Pantry. Juan is survived by his daughter, Linda Swartz; sons, Juan and Carey; 10 grandchildren, one great-grand-child, one brother and four sisters. IN MEMORIAM of Master Sargent Juan V. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY,, South Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. located at 127 S. Stone Ave. Tucson, Arizona. Mass will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Santa Cruz Church, 29 W. 22nd Street 9:30 a.m. Juan will be laid to rest at Rincon Memorial Cemetery.
