Maria MORENO

MORENO, Maria Longtime resident of Tucson, AZ, lost her battle with cancer on June 19, 2017 at the age of 90. Maria is survived by her children, Saul Gonzales (Cynthia), Joann Canez (Manny), Belen Padilla; grandchildren, Christina, Arlene, Alex, Michelle, Terry, Maxine, Marisol, Michael, Ayla and many great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, Raul Gonzales; grandson, Saul J. Gonzales, Jr. and longtime partner, Manuel Guillen. She was the owner of Maria's Cafe in South Tucson since 1973. She had a passion for food, family and friends. Maria was a devoted mother and grandmother. Everyone who enjoyed her cooking knew how much love she put in it. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017, Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel) 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will follow, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
