Forgive the passing of so much time but I've just now found this posting and had to share my thoughts about Steve. I had received a call from his dad Robert letting me know of Steve's passing and appreciated speaking with him and hearing how much he loved his youngest son. I first met Steve in October 2001 and it felt as though we'd known one another always; he was the kindest, gentlest man with a great sense of humor and we would spend hours just talking on the phone while he was living in Tucson. I came to value his friendship more than almost any other in my life and I think about him every day, and I know I will see him again plus get to finally meet his little buddy Skippy! :-) :-) Rest well, my friend and looking forward to seeing you one day.

It is always hard to say goodbye to loved ones friends and family, I met Steven in 2003 or 4 and we developed a well friendship on the distance. I will miss him a lot. My sincere condolences to his family. Budy I wish I could've visited you more often. :(

Bob, I was so sorry to read of Steve's passing. I cannot imagine the pain in losing a child. My heart and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.
