Honorable Carlos "Charlie" SALAZ

SALAZ, Honorable Carlos "Charlie" 73, of Tucson, passed into eternal life on February 28, 2017. Born September 15, 1943 in Tucson, Arizona to Soledad and Guadalupe (Galvan) Salaz. He is survived by his son, Felix Luis Salaz and daughter, Marianna Salaz Adams (Gary); six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six brothers, two sisters, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by his son, Carlos G. Salaz, Jr.; parents, Soledad and Guadalupe (Galvan) Salaz; sister, Margarita Arevalos and nephew, Robert Salaz. Carlos graduated from Pueblo High School, served his country in the U.S. Navy, worked for BHP (Magma) Copper Co. and was a member of The United Steelworkers of America. He served his community as council member for The City of South Tucson. Carlos had a passion for people, politics, and charities. He was a very active member of the community and involved with numerous organizations and causes.
