Frances ARMSTRONG Obituary

ARMSTRONG, Frances M. 83, passed away December 6, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. Frances was born June 7, 1933 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She leaves behind the love of her life, Raynor, who she was married to for 63 years; children, Raynor "Bud" Armstrong (Sheila) and Joannie Carmichael (Ron). Frances was blessed with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Frances is predeceased by daughter, Shirley Fowble; brother, William Kellogg and sister, Percilla Richardson. There will be a Celebration of Life Friday, December 9, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 9071 E. Old Spanish Trail Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Reid Park Zoological Society. Funeral arrangements by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 520-888-1111.

What a sad bit of news to learn that Fran, who was so beloved, has passed.
Fran was such an important part of my life at Reid Park Zoo, and I will always remember her smile, her vibrancy, her dedication. She was an inspiration and a model that taught so many of us so much.
