Juanita "Nita" HADDOCK

HADDOCK, Juanita "Nita" 93, of Tucson, Arizona, died on Sunday, February 12, 2017, surrounded by her two daughters and their husbands. Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Haddock, Sr. and her infant son, Craig. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Lynn Druke (William) and Shari Haddock Raicher (Michel); son, Rick Haddock (Elizabeth Ann); five grandchildren and her beloved cat, Rusty. Throughout her life, Nita continued to make her own decisions with grace and determination. Her family and friends will remember Nita most for her integrity, strength, independence, and compassion. Nita retired in 1991 after 26 years as an administrative assistant to three Presidents of the University of Arizona. During her highly regarded tenure with the State of Arizona, Nita received the Award for Excellence in 1988 for her collaborative efforts on the Super Collider project. A Memorial Service for Nita will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, Nita's family requests donations in Nita's name to Peppi's House, TMC inpatient hospice facility, 5301 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 263 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
