One last word or two. A group of us were at another volunteer´s home for a dinner. As I was talking with others, I glanced over and saw Bill talking the knife out of my husband´s hand, replace it with a spoon and was helping to feed him. When I walked towards them to take over, Bill said, "We´ve got this. Go have some fun." Alzheimer´s can rob you of so much, but can´t take away a loving friend. Thank you Bill for that precious gift and memory.

I´ll always remember sitting with Bill, during my tram breaks at PASM, in those musty stuffed chairs in the old trailer, discussing the world´s problems. He was always so friendly and interesting. I´m sure he is up there enjoying that beautiful golf course in the sky. Miss you Bill.

Bill was a great person with a great personality. Always joking and having a good time. Chris and I will surely miss his jokes. PASM will not be the same with his presence.

I and a work colleague first met Bill in 2002 on our way back to New Zealand from a conference in Mexico. We had decided to stop off in LA for a week, grab a rental and go exploring. Somehow
that led us to Pima, I cannot recall how. Bill greeted us when we arrived, and upon discovering we were kiwis visiting just took us under his wing and gave us the personal Pima & Amarc experience like no other.
We all just "clicked."

We kept in touch, and 2 years later in 2004 I took my wife, 2 children, and my mum & dad to the US
for 2 weeks including a Bill visit in Tucson. He took care of us like you wouldn't believe. Just wonderful.

2 years later in 2006 we managed to talk Bill into visiting us in New Zealand, and we were delighted
to have him with us for 3 weeks - during which we were able to take him road tripping to a number of places around the North Island, complete of course with his golf clubs which he brought with him all the way from the US. Needless to say a few rounds of golf were enjoyed along the way !

We continued to stay in touch through the following years, continuing to enjoy the healthy comraderie and banter and friendship we had firmly established.

I am just so so saddened at your passing Bill, and will always treasure the memories. Fly high, fly peaceful, and thankyou for your friendship.

I met Bill when I first started as Volunteer Coordinator at the Museum in 2012. Bill was the first volunteer I really got to know. If one was lucky enough to befriend Bill, one was blessed. Bill was a good man ... stubborn at times, and I laugh ... Bill was a truly caring gentleman whom I will miss forever. So many memories I won't forget. God bless you, Bill, and rest in peace! God bless and be with Scott and his loving family. Jim and I miss Bill very much!

I volunteered with Bill for over 13 years and it was always a pleasure. His sense of humor was unmatched but the wisdom that he shared from so much human experience is what I will miss most about Bill. He taught me so much about all things - business, aviation, human relations, leadership and humility. He was a model for all of us at PASM. We are all better people for knowing him but will be empty for some time without him. I took a sabbatical one year and every time I would come to the museum, Bill always bought me lunch. Rest easy my friend.

Bill was a true friend and I cannot picture the world without his warm smile that he had for everyone. At the Pima Air Museum Bill and I would share war stories, review books and just talk about a variety of things. The world is a lesser place without Bill.
