Joyce and Robert Chandler

Joyce Chandler 11/20/1921 - 4/10/2014 Robert H. Chandler 9/29/1914 - 3/10/1991 Joyce was born in Hanover, New Mexico and moved to Arizona in the 1950's. She married Robert H. Chandler in 1952 and they remained married almost 40 years, until his death in 1991. She was a hospital technician early in life, but most people in the Tucson area may remember her as a friendly and skilled checker at the Lucky's grocery store on 1st Ave. and Ft. Lowell. Joyce and Robert leave behind a legacy of hard work, love of family and faithfulness in marriage. Joyce is preceded in death by husband, Robert H. Chandler; daughter, Mabel "Charlie" Gavitt; son-in-law, Kenneth Gavitt and Douglas White, son-in-law and loving companion of Mabel. She is survived by daughter, Donna Feeney; son-in-law, Michael Feeney; grandchildren, Joyce Bell, Deena Peppers (Gary) and Alana Budding (Butch); great- grandchildren, Michelle Gough (Tim) and Douglas Gough and Garrison and Chandler Peppers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been created honoring Joyce and Robert Chandler at The Family Greenhouse, a marriage and family ministry.
